These terms govern your use of Jam OK. By creating an account, you agree to them.
Jam OK lets a guardian schedule check-ins for a dependent. At each scheduled time, the dependent is prompted to confirm they are OK. If they do not respond within the grace period, the guardian is notified.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you set up Jam OK to check on a child under 13, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the collection of their data as described in our Privacy Policy.
A guardian can only see a dependent's status and location after the dependent enters an invite code. Do not use Jam OK to monitor an adult without their knowledge and agreement. Using this app to stalk, harass, coerce, or covertly track another person is strictly prohibited and will result in termination of your account.
A dependent's location is shared with their guardian at a check-in or SOS, during live location sharing, when safe zones are on, and at the other moments described in the Privacy Policy. A dependent may deny or limit location permission on their phone; check-ins and SOS still work, but without location, and safe zone alerts need location "Always".
Push notifications depend on your device, operating system, network connection, and third-party services outside our control. They may be delayed, silenced by your device settings, or not arrive at all. You are responsible for keeping notifications enabled and your device connected.
Keep your login credentials secure, provide accurate information, and use the app only for its intended purpose. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly those used for covert monitoring or harassment.
Jam OK is free to use. An optional paid subscription, Jam OK Premium, unlocks additional convenience features.
What is always free
Safety never sits behind a paywall. The SOS button, missed check-in alerts, help alerts, live location sharing, one safe zone and check-ins for one person are free forever, and remain free if a subscription lapses or is cancelled. Nobody is left without help because they did not pay.
What Premium adds
Checking in on more than one person, up to five check-ins a day instead of three, up to five safe zones instead of one, and thirty days of check-in history instead of seven.
Price and billing
Jam OK Premium costs 1.99 USD per month (or the equivalent in your local currency). Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown above.
How to cancel
You can cancel at any time. On iPhone: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Jam OK. On Android: open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, and select Jam OK. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for. We cannot cancel a subscription on your behalf — only you can, through Apple or Google.
Refunds
All purchases are handled by Apple or Google, and refunds are governed by their policies, not ours. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or Google Play. We are not able to issue refunds directly.
Free trial (if offered)
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and your account is charged.
Price changes
If we change the price, we will tell you in advance and you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.
Jam OK is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jam OK is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any harm arising from a missed, delayed, or undelivered notification, or from reliance on this app in place of emergency services or direct human contact.
We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
